Revise a cart

Creates a new cart version based on an existing cart. The API determines behavior based on the status of the input cart.

  • NEW/SAVED: Throws exception - Revise is not allowed for active carts.
  • SUPERSEDED: Supersedes any existing New/Saved cart and creates a new version from the input cart.
  • FINALIZED: Supersedes any existing New/Saved cart and clones the finalized cart as a new version.
  • ABANDONED: Supersedes any existing New/Saved cart and creates a new version from the abandoned cart (same as SUPERSEDED).

The system enforces:

  • Only one active cart (New/Saved or Finalized) per business object
  • Superseded and Abandoned carts are immutable
  • Version increment is sequential (MAX(versionNumber) + 1 across ALL carts including Superseded and Abandoned)
  • Parent Configuration is set to the input cart for traceability

Required Fields:

  • cartId (route) - required

Responses

  • 200 OK: the revised cart is returned.
  • 400 Bad Request: the cart is missing/invalid or cannot be revised.
  • 409 Conflict: revise is not allowed for the cart's current status.
