Amends a contract. During the term of a contract, there may be a need to modify its language or terms. This API creates a new version of the contract record after amendment. The new, amended record shares the same base contract number as the original, but with an incremented decimal, and all data from the original version is copied to the new version.
To amend a contract, the contract's status must be Activated, Superseded, or Being Terminated.
On amendment (success), the status of the original contract changes to "Being Amended".
